Where to shop in Surrey

I recently visited our stunning new development The Maltings  in Woking, Surrey, whilst there I wanted to get a feel for the surrounding area and see what hidden gems I could find, I was not disappointed!

I did some research on the area and had my must visit list, on here was Shere. Now at this point I knew very little about Shere however I had spotted the most beautifully unique shop on Instagram which I just had to see for myself.

Shere is 32-minute scenic drive from development The Maltings, making it a perfect day out. As you arrive into the village the streets are lined with an abundance of natural surroundings and gorgeous mixture of cottages dating back to the 15th century. Picturesque doesn’t even do it justice!

I was not ready for what I found, it is the most beautifully English village I think I have ever seen, it’s up there with Lacock and Castle Combe. If you don’t know search them on Instagram!

The first shop I stumbled across (by accident) was Cuckoo Corner, set in a charming cottage, with homewares overflowing out of the door.

Filled to the brim of beautiful homewares, ceramics, blankets & throws to lamps, artificial flowers, scented candles and diffusers which can be smelt from the doorway! Beautiful trinkets, scarves, socks and jewellery, I am gutted I didn’t buy the sweetest sausage dog stud earrings!! A must visit for that unique statement piece at home or a special gift for a loved one.

A little further down this magnificent village is the Instagram worthy shop I had been super excited to visit. Located in another charming cottage is ‘&Hobbs

Individual and independent is what attracted me to this store! The ceramics are handmade in all shapes and sizes, with stock from a personal favourite ‘Libby Ballard’ I have been hoping to set my eyes on Libby’s creations for some time. Again, another lovely brand I found on Instagram!

The shop sets a calm, relaxed atmosphere amongst the muted toned cushions, throws and doormats, to the hand made ceramics. There is a beautiful section of bath bits from soaps, oils to bath salts for those moments of indulgence. Along with an array of succulents, ferns and vases there was plenty of statement home pieces to give that wow factor. If that wasn’t enough, the shop has the most instagrammable exquisite brick floor!

I am already planning my next visit and will be stopping for lunch at the local pub!
